A Strong Start for BHS Boys and Girls Alpine Ski Teams

The Bedford High School Alpine Ski team is off to a great start this season, with 3 top finishes during the January 18 boys’ race.

In what might be a first for the Bedford boy’s team, Matt Carluccio finished 1^st place, Kevin Murphy placed 6^th and Nick Schwartz rounded out the top 3 from Bedford with a strong 12^th  place.  Tim Regan and Matt D’Ambra continue to battle each other placing 38^th and 39^th.

The Bedford girls also finished strong.  Maddie Filosa placed 16^th continuing to lead the girls, and newcomer, freshman Libby Herzog, placed 24^th.

The enthusiasm is high amongst the racers, and coach Derek Johnson has high hopes for this year’s team.
