We are happy to announce that the 13th Annual Relay For Life of Bedford will be held on Saturday, May 19th – Sunday, May 20th at the Bedford High School Track.
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event where people within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. Relay For Life participants raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society.
This year, we need your SUPPORT more than ever! The American Cancer Society has decided to give the volunteers the responsibility of organizing their Relay For Life events across the country. At first, we weren’t sure if our event was going to continue at all, but because of the passion and dedication of so many students, teachers, parents and other members of the community, we rallied together to ensure that our beloved Relay For Life event continues in our small, but supportive town. We have set our goals high to ensure we are making the most impact in the fight against cancer and with your help we know we can achieve these goals.
So what does that mean? PLEASE consider:
- Becoming a SPONSOR: There are a variety of levels – please email us for more details.
- Donating a RAFFLE item: We will be selling raffle tickets starting in March. We currently have a Roomba 980! Please let us know if you have any big ticket items that we can add to the raffle ticket.
- DONATING items for the day: tents (for the DJ, Survivor Reception, Registration, Kids A&C), generator (for the DJ), folding chairs, or a food donation in lieu of sponsorship
- Form a TEAM: We begin walking at 4:00 pm on Saturday and end at Sunrise on Sunday!

Your support allows the American Cancer Society to help people facing the disease today, educate people about how to reduce their risk for cancer or detect it early when it’s the easiest to treat, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations!
