Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 24 and join your friends and neighbors at the CSF Dollars for Scholars Trivia Night at the Saint Michael Parish Hall, 90 Concord Rd, Bedford, MA. This fun evening of friendly team competition to help fund scholarships for Bedford graduates begins at 6:30 pm.
Are you ready? Let’s get started with a few sample questions!
Question #1: How many 2017 Bedford graduates received a scholarship from CSF Dollars for Scholars? The question may be trivia, but the answer is hardly trivial.
CSF Bedford Dollars for Scholars awarded scholarships worth $120,000 to 114 Bedford graduates at its 52nd Scholarship Awards Ceremony in June 2017.
Question #2: Where does the scholarship money come from?
The awards are supported by the greater Bedford Community through named and endowed scholarship funds and through generous donations made during CSF’s annual Phone-a-thon and special events like Trivia Night.
Question #3: What kinds of questions will be asked at Trivia Night?
Debbie Hughes, an experienced and skilled Trivia Night coordinator, has selected a broad range of questions from the following categories: History/Geography, Science/Nature, Sports/Leisure, Art/Literature, Entertainment, General Knowledge and audio/video clips to Name the Song, Name the TV/Movie Theme, and Name the Film.
Question #4: What if I don’t know the answers to the questions? Won’t I feel foolish and embarrassed?
Don’t worry. This is a team effort. Each table seats 10 people who will discuss the question and submit a group approved answer from your table for each question.
Question #5: Can I still come to Trivia Night and participate if I do not have enough people with me to fill all 10 seats at a table?

Question #6: Who comes to Trivia Night?
People of all ages who love trivia come to Trivia Night – individuals, family groups, neighbors, student groups, special interest groups, and people who have cabin fever from so many winter storms.
Question #7: What else can I expect at Trivia Night?
Most tables bring a picnic supper to enjoy at 6:00 pm before the major trivia action begins at 6:45 pm. You can expect to see takeout containers from Bedford restaurants, pizza, sandwiches, home cooked items, etc. provided by table participants. Soft drinks, water, snacks, and desserts are complimentary and will be provided for all who attend. Door prizes will be awarded, you will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a terrific assortment of raffle baskets, and there will be plenty of animated conversation, discussion, and laughter in the hall.
Question #8: Are there prizes for the best trivia players?
Yes, cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.

Question #10: How long has CSF Dollars for Scholars been helping to provide scholarship aid to Bedford graduates?
Since 1965, active and committed Bedford volunteers have worked to ease the debt burden for families of graduating students heading to college or advanced training.
