POMS Fundraiser ‘Sing Into Spring’ will Support Music Programs in Bedford

Bedford Patrons of Music Students, POMS, is hosting its second annual a cappella festival, Sing Into Spring, on Sunday, April 8th at 4 p.m. at Bedford High School. Tickets are $15 in advance or online, https://goo.gl/enXZc1, or $20 at the door.

POMS is excited to host 10 local high school a cappella groups, one professional group, and one college group. The line-up of unaccompanied vocal harmony will be high energy and amazing!

The fantastic high school groups include:

  • Bedford High School’s Bellachords, Buckapella, and The Rolling Tones
  • Chelmsford High School’s The Thursdays and The Crescendos
  • Concord Academy’s Pitches and Barbershop
  • Salem High School’s A Cappella
  • Saugus High School’s The Saugus Sachimes
  • Sharon High School’s Pitch, Please!

The Boston Skyline Chorus, a Lexington-based women’s group, will sing a wonderful line-up of songs including We are Family, Once Upon a Time, Happy Together, and Dancing Queen. UMass Lowell’s 16-member, men’s a cappella group, Hawkapella plans to perform Son of Man, Come on Eileen, Lay Me Down, and Natalie.

Sing Into Spring is a fundraiser for POMS, Patrons of Music Students in Bedford, MA. POMS is a non-profit, volunteer organization that has supported music programs in the Bedford public schools through fundraising and service to the community for more than 50 years. The goal of POMS is to give each willing student a chance to be heard through the expression of music. POMS supports the students and music faculty of Bedford by offering funding for music enrichment programs, instruments, subsidized private lessons, and scholarships for music camps and graduating seniors.
