The Concord Convoy, a contingent of local cyclists, rode into Boston and back on Friday morning.
Suzy Enos cycled up to the Bikeway Source shortly after 6 am, with Tucker trailing behind in the Puppy Express. Dave Enos and a pair of riders, Rishi and Heather, arrived from Concord shortly before Matt Hyde and Jan van Steenwijk turned up.
The riders took off for Boston at 6:30 and arrived at City Hall Plaza shortly after 8 am, after accumulating 22 more riders. The Plaza was awash with bike vendors, refreshments, music, and conviviality
By 10:30, the riders who don’t work in the city had returned to Depot Park.
REMINDER: LOG YOUR MASS COMMUTE BICYCLE CHALLENGE MILES BY MONDAY at 3 PM!
Bedford is climbing toward the top 10, and if you have ridden a little, or a lot, since May 12 you can help propel Bedford into the top 10 in the Mass Commute Bicycle Challenge.
Last year Bedford placed 18th out of all towns in Massachusetts – a great showing given our small size. MIT Lincoln Labs and iRobot are the top corporate competitors, and there’s a leaderboard showing Bedford’s 20 riders. But there are known Bedford cyclists who are not listed.
