At Emerson Hospital’s recent Annual Meeting, a pair of Bedford residents were elected as Corporators of the hospital. Corporators represent the health interests of the 25 communities served by Emerson.

“As Emerson continues to succeed as a top community hospital in today’s challenging healthcare environment, our Corporators are an integral part of our mission to provide the best health care to every person in the many towns that the hospital and health system serves,” said Paul D. Birch, Chair, Emerson Hospital Board of Directors.

“Through their work as ambassadors, they educate the community on ways that Emerson is expanding its services to treat an ever-growing population using the latest technology and surgical techniques and state-of-the-art equipment while maintaining its focus on providing the highest quality compassionate care to patients,” Birch continued. “We are grateful to our Corporators who have accepted the responsibility to serve the community in this important way.”

Emerson relies on its volunteer Corporators as ambassadors of the hospital through communicating information about the hospital’s programs and services to the residents and businesses in their communities. Corporators also elect the hospital’s Board of Directors and new Corporators each year at the hospital’s annual meeting.

“We are proud of our new Corporators from Bedford,” added Christine Schuster, president and CEO of Emerson. “We look forward to working with them to deepen our relationships with residents and local organizations as we expand our services in new and exciting areas to provide advanced, quality health care for everyone in the area.”

Emerson Hospital’s new Corporators from Bedford are Eric Dahlberg and Lisa Cale Harrell.

Eric Dahlberg and his family have lived in Bedford for several years. He has dedicated his career to health policy and technology and currently works at SHYFT Analytics in Waltham. He is an avid marathoner and plans to raise funds for Emerson through his running.

Lisa Harrell lives with her husband, daughter, and two English Labs. She is a board member of the Bedford Education Foundation and is BEF’s Corporate Sponsor Liaison. As a Realtor at Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, Harrell is eager to share news about Emerson Hospital healthcare providers and programs with both her community and families who are relocating to the area.
