Special to The Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Girls U11 lacrosse team finished on top of the Founder’s League this spring with an impressive undefeated season (6 wins, 0 losses, and 2 ties).

Lead by 4th graders Tova “Terror” Yerardi, Julia “Maniac” Mullins, Julie “Cyclone” Curtis, Katherine “Killer” Kohler, Lilliana “Shutdown” Carmen, and Tatum “Typhoon” Gayron,  this team dominated at both ends of the field in all their games.

The team was supported by a strong 3rd grade class consisting of Lauren “Lightning” Perales, Ashley “Fireball” Cohen, June “Bug” Doleski, Olivia “Wild Thing O’Brien,  Sophia “Wrecking Ball” Demeo, Jayden “Slick”  Robinson, Sofia “Nifty”  Zevallos, Anna “Banana” Fitzgerald, Sadie “Sweetness” King,  and Willow “The Machine”  McGuiness.

Coaches Derek Yerardi and Victor Zevallos saw significant effort and a ton of impressive sportsmanship throughout the season. As the weeks passed, the Lady Bucs improved greatly and gained confidence with each victory.

This group will conclude the season with some fun at next week’s Jamboree tournament in Sudbury.
