Thanks to readers like you, The Bedford Citizen recently received its first donation from Amazon Smile.
Are you an Amazon shopper or Amazon Prime member? If so, you can direct a small portion of your purchases to The Bedford Citizen through Amazon Smile.
Amazon will donate 0.5% (one-half of one percent) of the “price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization” selected by its customers through the Amazon Foundation.
It’s quick and easy to set up—do it once and you are done. To set up The Citizen as your preferred non-profit, go to smile.amazon.com and choose “Bedford Citizen” or click the live link in the right-hand column of our home page to get started.
Then every time you shop Amazon, start at smile.amazon.com — Amazon helpfully gives you a bookmark link to click each time you shop — so that all qualifying purchases will automatically count toward Amazon’s donation to The Bedford Citizen.
You can tell you’re being helpful: All eligible purchases will show an “Eligible for Donation” and you’ll be able to click on a link that shows just how much you and Amazon have contributed.
