Online Voters’ Guide for September 4 Primary Election

August 15, 2018

Submitted by the Bedford League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts (LWVMA) has published an online Voters’ Guide, www.InformedVoterMA.org, with information about all candidates in state primary races, voting information and tools, and information about statewide ballot questions.

You will be able to access ballot information relevant to the Bedford ballot simply by entering your street address at the LWVMA online guide. Voters will also find in-depth information about candidates’ backgrounds, stances, and endorsements; answers from candidates to questions posed by LWVMA; voting requirements and poll locations; and a “Make a Plan to Vote” tool.

The guide will contain complete information about candidates for the following offices: U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Massachusetts Senate and House, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Auditor, Treasurer, Secretary of the Commonwealth, Attorney General, Register of Deeds, Clerk of Courts, District Attorney, Governor’s Council, and County Commissioner. There will also be information about the three statewide ballot questions.

Later this fall, the information on www.InformedVoterMA.org will be updated for the November 6 general election, and all candidates will have the opportunity to update their answers.

“We hope Massachusetts voters will use this Voters’ Guide to help make informed choices as they vote on September 4,” said Mary Ann Ashton, president of the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts.  “We are pleased to be able to provide this information and thank the candidates for their willingness to participate in the guide.”

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues.
