Have you just turned 18 and want to vote for the first time? Do you need to change your voting address or plan to change your party affiliation? Do you want to check that you are registered?
You’ll need to act by August 15 if you plan to vote in the Massachusetts State Primary on September 4.
You can register, update information, or check your voting information online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/. You can register online until midnight on August 15, and also find information about registering in person with your local election official.
Here in Bedford, you can register at the Town Clerk’s Office between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Police Station from 4 to 8 p.m. Town Clerk Doreen Trembley requests that a voter call the office in advance.
The Massachusetts voter registration form can be downloaded from the Town website: https://www.bedfordma.gov/town-clerk/pages/voter-registration.
