Both Bedford High Golf and Shawsheen Tech Golf use Patriots Golf Course as their home course. They know the ins and outs of each hole. So Friday’s matchup was strength against strength. BHS Golf did have one edge, they were coming off a bitter one-point loss on Wednesday to Burlington 75-76, and needed to right the ship.

High school golf is formatted 8×8 competition. Each team supplies four pairs of golfers. Each golfer plays 9 holes. Golfers are awarded points for how well they did on each hole: 6 points for an eagle, 4 points for a birdie, 2 points for par, or 1 point for a bogey. Anyone shooting higher than a bogey can pick up their ball and move on to the next hole.
Bedford topped Shawsheen, 82-51. Bedford’s top scorers were Nicko Manning and James Demeo. Shawsheen’s top scorers were Cam LeRoux and Aiden Sullivan
Bedford’s next match is Monday, October 1st against Wayland at Patriot Golf Course.
