Compiled by The Bedford Citizen
The Town of Bedford will celebrate Bedford Day on September 22, 2018. You’ll need traffic updates, parade details, information about Citizen of the Year, the Fair, the health screenings, the Danny Oates Memorial Road Race, the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society Regional Art Show, the Friends of the Library Book Sale, and inclement weather information (although the prognosis is for a wonderful autumn day!)
Traffic Update from the Bedford Police Department
The Great Road (from Great Road & Loomis Street to Great Road at North Road & Concord Road) will be closed for the parade at 10 AM until approximately 12 PM. Traffic will be detoured around the event during those times. Loomis Street will be closed at 9:30 AM for parade staging. There will be an extension of the overnight parking ban on The Great Road throughout the morning until after the parade ends. Any motor vehicles found parked on The Great Road the morning of September 22, will be cited and subject to tow if we cannot locate the owners. Please plan accordingly.
Bedford Day Parade
The BHS marching band, local groups, and organizations turn The Great Road into a sea of color and excitement for Bedford Day! Begins at the intersection of The Great Rd. and Loomis Street then proceeds north on The Great Road and finishes at Mudge Way. The parade steps off at 10:30 am.
