Town Government at Work for the Week of October 15, 2018

By Meredith McCulloch

From the Board of Health to the Selectmen, and others, it looks like an interesting week.

On Monday, October 15 the Board of Health will meet at 7:00 PM in the Flint Room at Town center.  Among other business, they will hear an update on bus stop shelters.

At the Selectmen’s meeting on October 15 Chair, Bill Moonan will lead a discussion of locations for the Historical Museum. The DPW will present a new contract for waste and recycling pickup which would follow the current one that expires June 30. The new contract would include a 5% increase in rates plus a pilot project of the collection of food waste from six town locations– the four schools, plus Town Center and the fire station.

The Selectmen will also review two articles for possible inclusion in the warrant, a Carleton-Willard Village Conservation Restriction Amendment and a proposed bylaw Amendment for the Historic District Commission Bylaw.

Other meetings this week include:

  • Tuesday, October 16, Land Acquisition Committee
  • Wednesday, October 17, Capital Expenditure Committee, and Conservation Commission and Recreation Commission
  • Thursday, October 18, Finance Committee Meeting
