Submitted by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
On Saturday, December 8, at 5:00 p.m., St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will host a special service of Advent Lessons and Carols.
The service will feature the Parish Choir and Youth Choir in selections by Handel, Vaughn Williams, and Mendelssohn, among other composers. The singing by soloists, choir, and congregation will be augmented by a string quartet, processional bagpipes, and guest organist Nathan Skinner of Boston’s historic Park Street Church.
The service also features familiar hymns for congregational singing, as well as readings from the Bible and other spiritual works, both historical and contemporary. Rev. Christopher Wendell, rector of St. Paul’s, will preside over the 75-minute service. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
St. Paul’s is a fully accessible building, located at 100 Pine Hill Road in Bedford.
