GSA Auction Extends Until Thursday, November 15 after Bid Tops $4M

Editor’s Note: On Friday, November 16, the top bid rose to $4,090,000 and the auction’s end date advanced to Monday, November 19 at 7:48 am Central Time.

The GSA auction for the Navy hangar along the Hartwell Road edge of Hanscom Field was extended until 9:38 AM, Central Time, on Thursday, November 15 when Bidder 6 entered a bid of $4,010,000 at 9:38 Central Time (CT) on Wednesday, November 14.

The bids began to accumulate on November 13 when Bidders 3, 4, and 6 began to compete in earnest, raising the bid from $2,830,000 at 6:48 am CT on Tuesday, November 13 to $4,010,000 at 9:38 am CT on Wednesday, November 14, a bit more than 24 hours.

According to GSA ground rules, as soon as there is an advance on the current high bid, the countdown clock advances and keeps the auction open for another 24 hours. As soon as a high bid remains unchallenged for 24 hours, the auction will close.
