Lime Bike Share Closing for the Season

Submitted by Alyssa Sandoval, Economic Development Director

With the onset of wintry weather and slowing ridership, Lime will begin removing Lime bikes in Bedford by December 15 for the winter season. They are scheduled to return in March 2019.

Overall, the bike share pilot program had an average of approximately 35 bikes in Bedford distributed in the Great Road and Depot Park areas. Lime Bike users logged 1,188 miles on 655 rides using Lime bikes in Bedford since early August.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), organizers of the bike share program with 15 participating communities, will be administering an end of year survey in the coming months to gain further insight into who uses the system, how, why, and what are some potential barriers to ridership.

Please contact the Town Manager’s Office,  781-275-1111, to provide feedback in the meantime or email [email protected].
