Waxy’s was abuzz on Friday night with the Bedford TV Trivia Night fundraiser. All 16 tables were sold out at the event and the competition was fierce. Last year’s winners “The B-Sharps” fought a hard battle to retain their title but newcomers “Gintastic!” ultimately took home the trophy.

Questions such as “What were the first two frozen vegetables to hit supermarkets?” stumped the participants but all had fun trying to count the number of walk-in banks in Bedford. Spot prizes were awarded for best team name: “The Sticky Burr Incident”, most enthusiastic: “Devil’s Hexagon” among others.

Such a fun event would not be possible without the support of many people. Thanks to Waxy’s, to our Table Sponsor the UPS Store, Bedford,  and to the Chamber of Commerce for all their help.

Bedford TV staff was assisted by many wonderful volunteers – many thanks to Ann Seamans, Steve McMahon, Prakhar Gupta, Healy Weissman, and Matt Hill.

Bedford TV would also like to thank the following businesses for their prize donations: Keurig Green Mountain, Inc., Salon Reyna,  Bedford Florist, Organix Spa & Salon, Ginger Japanese Restaurant, Comella’s, Peppers Grille and Uber Eats.

Katie Duval, Executive Director of Bedford TV said “Bedford TV’s Second Annual Trivia Night was a huge success. I want to thank everyone involved for helping to make this our best trivia night yet. Our staff and volunteers put in a lot of hard work to ensure the night went off without a hitch and the crowd was clearly having a blast the whole time.

“An extra special thank-you goes out to Maureen Sullivan from the Chamber of Commerce and Doug Carcione from Waxy O’Connor’s for making it all possible. We hope to have the same turnout next year and I’m sure we’ll have some surprises up our sleeves to make it even better!”
