Bedford Santa Program ~ An Important Reminder and Announcement

December 12, 2018

Compiled by The Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Santa program is the Town’s longest-running volunteer program, begun more than 50 years ago and available to all families with children (or grandchildren) in Bedford on Christmas Eve.

Any child in Bedford can be visited by Santa on Christmas Eve and be presented with a special Christmas gift. Expenses are covered by donations, not town funds and volunteers make this special evening a success.

For more information about the program, please visit bedfordsanta.com or visit the program’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/BedfordSanta/

GIFT DROP DAY – Saturday, December 15

Gift Drop Day is fast approaching: from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 15 at the John Glenn Middle School gymnasium.

Please come as early in the day as possible. Remember to keep gifts small, one gift per child. Wrap all the gifts for the same address in the same paper. On a detachable tag, print family name and address on front and child’s name and age on the back.

URGENT REQUEST – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

There is an urgent need for additional Santas, drivers, and checkers this year. The time commitment is between 4 pm and roughly 8 pm on Christmas Eve, with additional preparation time for drivers and checkers on Sunday, December 16.

Time is fleeting, so please consider helping out and respond quickly.

If you are interested, please contact Ethel Waite at [email protected].
