At the close of business on Friday, November 30, the high bid on the surplus Navy hangar at the edge of Hanscom Field along Hartwell Road, stood at $7,170,000 with the auction scheduled to end early on the morning of Monday, December 3.
Spirited bidding by two bidders saw the high bid advance from $7,200,000 to $7,510,000 before 8:10 am on Sunday, December 2, extending the close date to Monday, December 3. Further action today, December 3, took the top bid far higher — to $8,020,000 — with two bids of $250,000 from the same bidder.
The auction is currently scheduled to end at 3:26 pm, CT, on Tuesday, December 4. A bid that comes in higher than $8,020,000 will extend the auction for another 24 hours.
