Special to The Bedford Citizen
Shawn Hanegan has announced that he will seek a Town Caucus nomination for another term on the Planning Board.
“It has been an honor to serve,” said Hanegan, “and I want to continue the work I’ve done with the Board in implementing the Comprehensive Plan and helping to lay a solid foundation for the Bedford we want to see in future years.”
Bedford’s Town Caucus, sometimes called the Citizen’s Caucus, will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in the Richard Reed Room at Town Hall, 10 Mudge Way.
Learn More About the Caucus
Nomination at Bedford’s Town Caucus is one of the ways candidates can get their names on the ballot to run for office in the Town Election in March 2019. Candidates selected during the caucus will be listed at “Caucus Nominee” on the ballot. Under caucus rules up to two candidates can be nominated for each open position.
A second path to the ballot is for a candidate to take out nomination papers from the Town Clerk and collect a minimum of 50 signatures from registered voters.
