Here’s How to Minimize the Risk. New York Times, Feb 25th, 2019.    That’s why the COA is offering a course on fall prevention.   The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says that people age 65+ have a greater than 25% chance of falling. And if someone falls once, their chance of falling again doubles, meaning there’s over 50% chance of a second fall.   There are many reasons why people fall;  getting weaker, poor eyesight, balance.  The thing is, there are techniques and tips to make you less likely to fall.  Little things can make a big difference.   Come to the session, and find out how to keep safe, and how you too can defy gravity.
