I’m writing to express my unequivocal support for Emily Mitchell’s candidacy for Selectmen. As her background statement notes, she has served our community in many capacities over her twenty years in Bedford both as an active volunteer and elected Library Trustee. She is a person any board or organization is thankful to have.
I had the privilege to serve a 3-year term on the board of The Bedford Citizen with Emily. Over those three years, through her contributions at board meetings, her leadership for March, the One Book One Bedford program, and her creativity in the launch of BeTC, the Bedford Town Calendar, I could easily see that she is very smart, listens thoughtfully, analyzes astutely, communicates clearly and articulately, steps up to take responsibility, and executes effectively. She is respectful to all and has a great sense of humor.
I believe that all of the qualities I’ve consistently seen in Emily will make her an excellent Selectman. I will be voting for her enthusiastically and urge you to go to the polls March 9th and vote for her, too!
