Town Government at Work for the Week of February 4, 2019

Boards and committees are headed into the final stretch, preparing budgets and warrant articles for Annual Town Meeting on March 24.

On Monday, February 4 the Selectmen will hear the Community Preservation Commission budget presentation. Also on the agenda are votes on zoning articles that will appear on the upcoming warrant for Annual Town Meeting.

Also on Monday, the Board of Health will meet at 7:00 pm in the Fitch Room at Town Center, to discuss a proposed Food Establishment Pest Control Policy.  They will also discuss a plan for correction of repeat Food Code Violations by Blue Fuji, 200 Great Road.

On Tuesday, February 5 the Historic Preservation Commission, meeting at Town Hall, will consider demolition delay applications (deemed to be preferably preserved) of 330 South Road and 52 South Road.

At 7:00 pm on February 6, the Board of Assessors will meet at Town Hall.  Their primary action will be to vote on excise abatement applications.

Capital Expenditures Committee will finalize their report to Annual Town Meeting and vote recommendations on several Annual Town Meeting warrant articles. They will meet at Town Hall on Wednesday, February 6 at 7:00 pm.

The Finance Committee will hear Community Preservation and Cable TV budget requests February 7 and will vote on several ATM articles. The Finance Committee meets in the Selectmen’s meeting room at Town Hall

Also on February 7 the Transportation Advisory Committee will discuss a potential 201 Burlington Road turn signal, discuss stop sign processes and get updates from Healthy Bedford on the bus stop shelter proposal. The meeting is scheduled for Town Hall.
