“Mr. Hoyland, I decided to take up your Girl Scout Cookie Challenge, and I shaved 11 seconds off my Personal Best. Thanks for the cookies
– Maddy Broyard
Bedford Winter Track is a very young team. Only three Seniors on the boys’ team and none on the girls’ team. So, how do you motivate a team that has zero chance of winning the DCL Championships???
Girl Scout Cookies!!!
This year, the team has been totally concentrating on “Getting Better”. The pride for each member has been “setting a Personal Best (PR) number” for each event. No matter what your skill level; no matter what your age; you can always do your best.
I decided to purchase Girl Scout cookies, and brought a box into Reggie Lewis Area. Attached read a note: Personal Best Girl Scout Cookie Contest – If you have a Personal Best (PR) today, feel free to reward yourself with a couple of Girl Scout cookies. And please leave your Name, Event, and Time or Distance.
