With a heavy heart, Bedford TV says farewell to Operations Manager Nick Giglio. Nick recently accepted a new position as the Education and Public Access Coordinator at WinCam, Winchester’s public access station.
Nick is a familiar face to many in Bedford. He was introduced to the world of media, somewhat by accident, while he was a student at Bedford High School. In a class he was less than thrilled about taking, he met with his guidance counselor and luckily got the last spot in a television production class.
Through the instruction of his teacher Greg Dolan, the former executive director of Bedford TV, Nick developed a love for video and film production. So much so that he majored in Film, Cinema, and Media Studies at Quinnipiac University. During his time in college, Nick also interned at Bedford TV and produced a documentary about energy efficient houses in Bedford. After graduation, Nick was hired by Greg as Bedford TV’s Digital Media Specialist.
Nick served his hometown community for 3 years and was promoted to Operations Manager in the summer of 2018. Every single production at Bedford TV since 2016 has Nick’s own personal stamp on it. He has served a major role in the success of the station and will be missed by so many, especially all of the students that he has worked with.
We hope that he has inspired many of them to continue with a career in media production just as Nick’s teachers did with him. As WinCam’s new Education and Public Access Coordinator, we know that he will continue to inspire young minds in the future.
We wish Nick the best of luck in his new venture and hope that he will visit Bedford TV again soon. Congratulations, Nick!
