We are all shaken and dismayed at the horrific events which occurred at the mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand last Friday.
In the wake of this tragedy, the interfaith community invites you to join us in a showing of love, solidarity, and support for our Muslim brothers and sisters at the Islamic Center of Burlington, 130 Lexington St., at their weekly prayer service on Friday, March 23, 2019.
Please join us at 12:30 pm as we form two lines of comfort for them to pass through on their way into services. State Rep. Ken Gordon and I will speak along with a number of local clergy, 1-1: 30 pm.
All are invited.
Women are respectfully asked to wear a head covering upon entering the mosque. It is a tradition for all to remove their shoes as well.
