Third Stop the Bleed Training Session Scheduled for March 21

Compiled by The Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Fire Department will lead the third Stop the Bleed training session at 7 pm on Thursday, March 21 in the Flint Room at Town Center.

A pair of residents shared feedback from their experience in the previous classes held in January and February:

“I found it most instructive, especially the information about tourniquets.  Hopefully, I’ll never need to use it.”

– Nancy Asbedian

“In my professional life, I have participated in annual CPR training for decades. I can honestly tell you that the Bedford Fire Department’s Stop the Bleed training on January 16 was lead by among the most committed and dedicated faculty/instructors in my experience.

“The knowledge/information is basic to life support, easy to learn and understand and overlooked for far too long as we all pounded chests doing CPR, possibly ignoring or more likely overlooking, other serious life-threatening conditions.

“Bottom line:  If there’s no blood, CPR is not going to help!

“Please take advantage of this wonderful training to Stop the Bleed and save a life.”

– Bob White
