With the start of Bedford’s Annual Town Meeting, the hard work of many boards and committees on the business of the town will come to fruition. Operating and capital budgets will be voted, school construction projects decided, zoning laws enacted, and many other decisions about how town government will serve its citizens. All of these will affect the Town for the coming year and many years beyond.
The meeting, which is open to all registered voters, begins at 7:00 pm (new time) on Monday 25 and is likely to adjourn to a second date on Tuesday, March 26.
Several boards are meeting just prior to the start of town meeting, most likely for final votes or presentation planning. The Selectmen and the Planning Board will meet at 6:00 pm and the School Committee and Finance Committee will meet at 6:30. Meeting links: for Monday, and for Tuesday
