Town Government at Work for the Week of March 3, 2019

The week begins with an unusual Sunday afternoon meeting of the Historic District Commission at 1 pm for a walkthrough of 18 North Road with its new owners and closes with Bedford’s 2019 Election on Saturday, March 9.

The polls are open from 8 am to 6 pm at the John Glenn Middle School, 99 McMahon Avenue. If you are going to be out of town, call ahead and vote at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours: Monday, 8 am to 7 pm; Tuesday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm; remember, Town Hall closes at 1 pm on Fridays.

The Board of Health will meet in the Fitch Room at Town Center on Monday, March 4. A conversation on public health nursing services in Bedford with Community Health Nurse Mark Waksmonski, RN is on the agenda.

Meeting in the second-floor conference room at Town Hall, on Tuesday, March 5, the Historic Preservation Commission will hold Demolition Delay hearings on open applications for 330 South Road and 52 South Road.

Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing in the Selectmen’s Room at 7:30 pm on March 6 for Big Red Tree, LLC on renovations and a proposed addition at 18 North Road.  The HDC will also meet with the new owners of Fitch Tavern (12 the Great Road) to discuss upcoming improvements.

The Finance Committee will meet in the Selectmen’s Room at Town Hall, beginning at 7:15 pm on Thursday, March 7, continuing their preparations for Annual Town Meeting.
