Bedford Donation Drive to Benefit HouseHold Goods of Acton

Compiled by The Bedford Citizen

When local residents think about downsizing or decluttering, HouseHold Goods in Acton is often mentioned, followed by, “But they don’t collect in Bedford” and a deep sigh. Thanks to the collaboration of four Bedford realtors, that is not the case this spring.

Drop off small items at 50 Concord Road
Friday, April 5, between 5 and 7 pm
Saturday, April 6, between 8 am and 12 noon.

Sheena Santos, Emily Medwar, Diane Cadogan Hughes, and Mimi Henning of Barrett Sotheby International Realty, working with several corporate sponsors, have arranged transport of Bedford donations to Household Goods of Acton where they will be available, free of charge, to individuals and families in need.

There is a list of welcome donations – Click this link to see them. Items should be in a gently-used condition that you would feel comfortable giving to a friend or neighbor.

HouseHold Goods needs a steady stream of clean and usable:

  • Dressers, tables, chairs, and other furniture
  • Mattresses and bed frames
  • Dishes, flatware, and kitchen items
  • Sheets, towels, and bed linens
  • Other household items.
