The Bedford Patch carried a story on May 8 about the several Massachusetts locations, including Bedford’s Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant (NWIRP) with concentrations of PFOS and PFOA. Used by the military in firefighting foam for many years, the toxic effects of PFOS and PFOA were mentioned as a possibility in an earlier Remediation Advisory Board meeting.
With Bedford’s 2019 RAB meeting tonight, Thursday, May 8, The Citizen will report the Board’s current findings in due course.
