Special from The Cambridge School of Weston

The weather was pleasant and sunny and the mood joyful and proud as students, faculty, staff, alumni/ae, family, and friends came together under the tent to celebrate as a community on June 7 for the 133rd commencement exercises at The Cambridge School of Weston. Bedford residents in the CSW Class of 2019 included Sabrina Alper and Sophia Clouse.

This year also marked the final graduation for Head of School Jane Moulding, who drew on the words of poet Adrienne Rich and her 1978-1981 collection titled A Wild Patience Has Taken Me This Far, to open her remarks. She went on to reference poets Arundhati Roy and Juan Ramón Jiménez, and, in typical Jane fashion, made sure to quote two of her favorite films: My Cousin Vinny and Moonstruck.   A new Head of School, Lise Charlier, will begin on July 1, 2019.

Correction ~ 24 June, 2019 ~ History teacher Jermaine Thinodeaux was incorrectly identified as French teacher Frantz Batoh in this story’s original post.
