Since The Bedford Citizen first invited local people who worked on Apollo to comment on its upcoming anniversary, a half dozen have stepped forward. We hope not to miss anyone who wants to participate, so we are issuing the invitation again. Thank you.
Aiming for the Moon, Apollo Mission at One-Half Century
July 20, 2019, marks the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon. That event remains an astounding achievement of which the nation is proud. We know that some of the hundreds (thousands?) of people who worked on the project live in Bedford. In celebration of this historic event, The Bedford Citizen is inviting local people who contributed at any level to share a comment or a reflection on this half-century celebration. Congratulations to you all!
