Town Government at Work for the Week of June 10, 2019

Multiple board and committee meetings are posted for the upcoming week.

Monday, June 10
There are two school building committee meetings to consider the Davis School plans at 6 pm and JGMS/BHS at 7:30. Both will be held in the the Davis School Library.

Tuesday, June 11
Council on Aging will meet at 10:30 am in the Flint Room at Town Center to review the previous year’s accomplishments and elect officers.

Library Trustees will meet at 7:00pm in the library meeting room to continue their search for a building superintendent, and to review their Charter and Bylaws.

Bedford Housing Authority meets at Ashby Place at 7:00pm.  They will review policies on rent collection, capitalization and air conditioning use. They will also hear an update on Railroad Avenue improvement projects.

Planning Board Meeting 7:30pm is to prepare a recommendation to ZBA on a comprehensive plan permit for Village at Bedford Woods. They will also discuss a potential bylaw for accessory apartments.

Trails Committee meets at 7:30 in the 2nd floor conference room at Public Works. After hearing updates on trails and bog bridges, they will take up new business. Among the new business is work on priorities for trail connections for presentation to the Land Acquisition Committee, follower by Page Place trail status and upcoming trail walks.

Bedford School Committee will meet at 7:30pm at the high school large instruction classroom. Their agenda includes Surplus Materials Disposition, the Religious and Cultural Holidays Policy and the Superintendent’s Evaluation

Wednesday, June 12

Capital Expenditure Committee meets at 7:00pm. Their sole agenda item is a presentation and discussion about capital planning for future years.

Thursday, June 13

Finance Committee meets at 7:15pm to act on any Reserve Fund Transfers and to get an update on the close of FY2019.

Zoning Board of Appeals at 7:30 pm.  New items of business are Special permits for two illuminated signs, one at 168 Great Road and second at 170 Great Road.

All meetings are at Town Hall unless otherwise noted.
