Meeting to Consider Removal of Dozens of Trees at JGMS ~ Tuesday, July 9 at 7:30 pm

Submitted by the Bedford Arbor Resources Committee

Bedford’s Arbor Resources Committee (BARC) will hold a required Town Tree Meeting beginning shortly after 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall’s Reed Room (aka the Multipurpose Room) to discuss the John Glenn Middle School building plan and receive resident input.

As part of the project, the Town plans to upgrade the safety road around the school to improve access for emergency vehicles, and to add parking spaces. The project will shift the parking area in front of the school closer to the building.

As currently designed, the plan removes dozens of mature trees and clears areas of bushes, with some replanting.

BARC regrets the late notice for this meeting.
