Residents have until August 31 to renew or obtain a new dog license from the Town Clerk’s office.

Several special DPW projects are underway or ready to begin. On Tuesday, August 20, the Grounds Division will install new sod on Page Field using amazing machines and giant rolls of grass. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22, the crew will be assembling the bus shelter on South Road. And the subcontractor started to install Hartford Street’s granite curbing on Friday, and the work will continue through next week.

Welcome, and congratulations to Bedford’s newest resident and her Mom, along with kudos to Bedford Fire Department’s Group 2, especially Paramedic Loreth and New Paramedic Snowdon, who delivered “a perfect and healthy baby girl during an ambulance transport to Newton-Wellesley Hospital on Route 128/95.”

Fire Fighter Nick Anderson has been appointed to the role of “Fire and Life Safety Educator.” In his new role, he will offer fire safety education to the Council on Aging and the Schools.
