Commissioner of the Bedford Summer Basketball League (BSBL)
The Hitmen beat the Sauce 57-47 to capture Bedford Summer Basketball League (BSBL) B-League title. In order to play in the League, athletes must be either a Bedford resident or a Bedford High School graduate.
The Sauce were led by Matt Timperio who had five 3 pointers for a total of 20 points. Murrin had 12 points, and Zach Walters had 8, as the Sauce started the game strong with outside shooting and good team defense.
However, the guard tandem of Cam Shelmire and Tim Cowen started to wear Sauce down in the second half with their speed and shooting. Shelmire led the team with 19 points, and Cowen had 14.
The Hitmen slowly pulled away in the second half under a beautiful August night at the courts.
