Some players have been waiting for the season to start since early Summer, and some have been waiting since a cold night last November.

But 16 have been waiting for their Senior season since “JGMS days” — the largest group of Seniors on any one team in a long time: Nicolas Busse, Jessop Collins, Nolan Hafer, Andrew Harrison, Quinten Houck, Dexter Kennedy, Ryan Knight, Wesley Liou, Jeffrey Mascoli, Matthew McMillian, Alexander Oleksinski, Matias Ou,  Andrew Presti, Christopher Venuti, Marcus Voss, and Joseph Watson.

Senior Marcus Voss scored the first goal just 15 minutes into the game, followed by Sophomore Collens Jumelle’s first goal as a Bedford Buccaneer at the 30-minute mark.

The Bucs were impressive with their small-ball skills of pass and catch, which helped them control the tempo of the game.

The “Vince” jersey representing “hard work” went to Senior Nolan Hafer for his strong midfield and defensive play.

Senior Chris Venuti logged his first shutout to start the season.  Chris made some leaping saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.

The next Boys Soccer game is Friday night at 7 PM under the lights at Acton-Boxborough.
