Watch the Parade ~ At Home, on Your Phone, or Along The Great Road

Bedford TV will livestream the Bedford Day parade to its YouTube channel.

The parade steps off from Loomis Street at 10:30 am, and the Bedford TV cameras will at the corner of  Mudge Way and The Great Road, near the Reviewing Stand.

Traffic Update from the Bedford Police Department

The Great Road (from Loomis to North & Concord Roads) will be closed for the parade at 10 AM until approximately noon. Traffic will be detoured around the event during those times. Loomis Street will be closed at 9:30 AM for parade staging. There will be an extension of the overnight parking ban on the Great Road throughout the morning until after the parade ends. Any motor vehicles found parked on The Great Road the morning of September 21, will be cited and subject to tow if we cannot locate the owners. Please plan accordingly.

A possible additional traffic jam at Sabourin Field: the BHS/Arlington Catholic football game at 12:30 pm, and the BHS/Rindge and Latin Soccer game at 3:30. Both BHS teams are undefeated.

Booth and Activity Update

Word to the wise: The BHS/Arlington Catholic football game has been moved to Sabourin Field at 12:30 pm on Bedford Day.

Don’t forget ‘Jail and Bail’ – Suz and Co is sponsoring this popular booth to benefit Relay for Life!

Destination Imagination will have dumplings from Ginger, as long as supplies last, and an everlasting supply of great information about this year’s DI challenge.

The Bedford Garden Club is selling mums and flower arrangements

There will be a Scottish dancing demonstration at Town Center from 12:30 to 1:30 pm

Entries in the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society’s 20th annual Regional Art Fair are on display at Town Center and BACSMA crafts booth on the Fairground. Click this link to learn about the winners

After the parade, the Bedford TV will have a coloring contest for kids – each entrant will get a goodie bag, and the grand prize winners will be invited to participate in a Little Red Riding Hood puppet show on Bedford TV later this year.  There will be live entertainment in the circular area between Town Hall and Town Center, starting at 11:45 am. There will be a News Roundtable, interviews with members of the BHS sports teams, live interviews of Dan Brosgol (New Kids Club Director), the cast of 12 Angry Jurors (the BHS Fall Play), and Meghan Gardner from Guard Up! (Educational Adventures).  There’s also a new logo to unveil, and new swag to share

Don’t forget to visit the Friends of the Library’s annual Book Sale – bargains, and rare treats galore!

The Petting Zoo from Chip-in Farm will be on the lawn along Mudge Way.

Bedford Embraces Diversity and Parents Diversity Council (PDC) is sponsoring a fundraising booth to benefit the PDC. On offer? Readings: Angel Cards, Oracle Cards, Tarot Cards. Reiki Healings: Reiki masters offer gentle, relaxing table work for deep rest and healing. 20-minute sessions for $25

Boy Scout Troop 114 is holding their annual Bedford Day Yard Sale.

Lunch will be available in multiple booths as fundraisers for various organizations
