The Bedford Citizen Brings Back a Bedford Day Tradition – Goldfish

September 14, 2019

Stop by The Bedford Citizen’s booth at Bedford Day (#111) and see what’s new.

We will have our brand new website on display (and would love to hear what you think about it.)

You’ll also get a sneak peek at our upcoming Bedford Guide. The Bedford Guide will be a manual on how to do Bedford-in other words:

  • “What’s it like to be a preschooler?”
  • “What’s it like to be in High School?”
  •  “What’s it like to retire/be a dog/have a bike in Bedford?” Plus a lot more.

And, just because we like to see a lot of people in our booth (#111, at the fair), we are bringing back the ever-popular goldfish game to Bedford Day.

For many years the simultaneous joy on the little kids’ faces and dread in the parents’ hearts as a young’un won a goldfish was part of the fun. So we’re bringing it back. We aren’t sure why it was ever stopped but – It’s Back!

Stop by and see us at our booth and tell us what you think about The Bedford Citizen. Both compliments and complaints are welcome, although compliments are welcomed just a little bit more.

And don’t forget to try your luck on winning your very own goldfish.

Fun Fact: The first goldfish ever won at Bedford Day was a small fish called “Goldie.” He lived to the ripe old age of three weeks.
