October 25, 2019

Organizations may reserve directly through Paul Smith at [email protected] or 978-654-7593.

The theatre seeks 24 individuals to rotate performances in groups of 12. To reflect mill workers in mid-1800s Lowell, the chorus will be comprised primarily of young women. However, there will be roles for men, women of all ages, and for people of color in an effort to simultaneously reflect the Lowell of today, according to producer Peter Crewe. Auditions will be in 45-minute group sessions, consisting of games and exercises.

“These roles will not have individually spoken lines but will be an integral part of bringing the feeling of a bustling new Lowell to Life,” Crewe said.

The Lowell Offering, a world premiere play about the “Mill Girls” by Andy Bayiates and Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, will perform at MRT from March 18 to April 12, 2020. Jess Hutchinson will direct.
