With more than 30 pages of listings for winter classes and Summer Adventures, the Winter 2020 Winter Brochure is certain to have something for everyone.

Online registration for adult programming begins at 9 pm on December 9, and registration for all other programs begins at 9 pm on December 15.

Adult classes

Cooking, from holiday baking in December through creating a Hawaiian Poke party in March. Personal interest opportunities, both on foot and on the water, are on offer. Feeling creative? Holiday decorations, paste paper collage, brush lettering, pysanky, drawing, fiber arts, jewelry, mixed media, and stone carving. Take your pick! Dance, exercise, and fitness, plus archery, pickleball and tennis instruction.

There are coed winter sports programs: volleyball, basketball, badminton, pickleball, and indoor soccer. And monthly trail walks!

And it’s time for adults to sign up for the ever-popular spring/summer Slow-Pitch Recreational Softball League.

Kids to Teens

Davis and Lane: Kids Club for grades K-5 offers before school and after school programming. Programs for Preschoolers, special elementary school programs (from Minecraft to the Kids Test Kitchen, art, yoga, and sports. Hired Hands gives Bedford kids the chance to be part of a real working farm, right here in town.  School vacation day programs and camps? Got ’em covered!

Middle School: With adventures in video production, stop-motion animation, and instruction in making music videos, along with sports — gymnastics, archery, indoor field hockey, a sports mania program for February Vaction, and engineering programs — Jedi Master and Harry Potter editions, there’s A LOT going on! And, The Corner, a place where the fun begins when the school day end.

High School: An SAT Kickstarter class will prep you to take the real tests. And, have you considered working for the Recreation Department? Hiring for Winter Program Aides, Summer Adventures team members, and summer jobs at Springs Brook Park are available.

What Does It All Mean?

There’s plenty to do through the Bedford Recreation Department, whether you’re a toddler or an elder. Check the brochure and think about how you’d like to participate!
