Betsy Tenney Houser Twombly passed away on November 4, 2019. A resident of Bedford from 1951 through 1990, Mrs. Twombly is remembered as a member of the Bedford League of Women Voters, First Parish Unitarian Universalist on Bedford Common, and for her career at Massachusetts General Hospital and in the Histology Department at Harvard. A graduate of Tufts University with honors in biochemistry, Mrs. Twombley endowed a scholarship for women studying science and medicine at her alma mater in 1994.
Mrs. Twombley will be interred a family plot in the Belmont, MA cemetery.
