The Town of Bedford has contracted with D’Allessandro Corp. to install a liner in the sewer main between #124 South Road and Loomis Street. This work is needed to repair the section of clay pipe which was found to have significant cracks that could eventually cause the pipe to collapse. In order to minimize construction impacts, the old clay pipe will be lined with a structural plastic pipe. The new pipe will be fused above ground and then pulled through the old pipe.
Work is scheduled for the week of December 16th, weather permitting. Bedford Police will have Detail Officers on-site to direct traffic through the work zone. Please use caution around the construction equipment.
