Willie J. Smith passed away on December 30, 2019. A former longtime resident of Bedford, Mr. Smith was a graduate of Tuskeegee Institute who earned his MBA at Suffolk University. With a specialty in missile guidance systems, he retired as Vice President of Analytical Systems Engineering Corporation in Burlington. Mr. Smith was a member of the Frank W. Thompson AFM Masonic Lodge, served on the Board of Trustees at Middlesex Community College. He was also the Director of Administration at the Essex Correctional Facility in Middleton, Massachusetts.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, January 4 at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. followed by a Masonic Service at 5 pm.
