The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton has issued an * Airport Weather Warning for Ground Operations at Hanscom Field * Until 615 PM EDT on Friday, March 13, 2020.
* The Following Weather Hazards Are Expected: Strong wind gusts to 40 kts.
A cold front will reach Bedford Hanscom Field by 5 pm. This front
will bring a brief period of heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts.
Winds will shift to the NW with gusts up to 40 kts. Strong wind
gusts will remain possible through 6 pm, then diminish.
At 427 PM EDT on March 13, National Weather ServiceDoppler radar was tracking a line of showers with strong winds and brief heavy rainfall.
The line extended from near Dunstable to Holden to near Monson. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will accompany these showers. This may result in some downed tree limbs. In addition, brief heavy rainfall will cause a sharp reduction in visibility.
