Updates from the Bedford Trails Committee

The trailhead for Bedford’s Hartwell Town Forest is along Hartwell Road, near the intersection of South Road

 

 

The Bedford Trail Guide is a spiral-bound color publication from the Trails Committee containing the Bedford Trail Maps and their descriptions.

The Trails Committee will sell Trail Guides for $10 each in the lobby outside the BHS Auditorium on the first night of Annual Town Meeting on March 23. The Guides are also available at the DPW building, 314 Great Road (second floor); the Town Clerk’s office or the Conservation office at Town Hall, 10 Mudge Way, or at the Depot Park Gift Shop, in the Freight House,  120 South Road.

The Trails Committee leads a monthly walk/hike to various trails throughout the Town. Email [email protected] to learn about and be notified of the walk/hikes each month.

ALSO, at Annual Town Meeting, a new boardwalk for the Hartwell Town Forest:  FY2021 Appropriations – 11. Hartwell Town Forest Boardwalk: This project proposes design, permitting, and construction of an elevated boardwalk inside the Hartwell Town Forest, in order to connect the northern and southern trail system.
