Speaking Out: Sharing Stories of Pain, Frustration, and Hope ~ Presented by Bedford Embraces Diversity ~ June 10 at 7:30 pm

A panel of eight persons of color, all with strong Bedford connections, will explain and express their stories, pain, frustration, and hope during a Zoom presentation at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 10 sponsored by Bedford Embraces Diversity.

The speakers, covering a range of ages and genders, including five Bedford High School alumni, will present first-hand experiences, emotions, and aspirations, joining thousands of others nationwide following episodes of homicide against unarmed Black victims.

The Bedford Embraces Diversity panel includes:

  • Zaria Brewington, BHS ’18, a college student majoring in criminal justice;
  • Jason Chisholm, BHS ’92, modern workplace specialist, Microsoft Corp.;
  • DeWayne Clachar, BHS ’09, community sports leader in Dorchester;
  • Kyle Draper, television broadcast professional;
  • Claudia Fox Tree, educator and Native American advocate;
  • Robin Grace, member of the Board of Library Trustees;
  • Lt. Scott Jones, BHS graduate and member of the police force;
  • Justin MacAfee, BHS ’12, now a coach with the high school football program;
  • Terrence Parker, BHS graduate, attorney.
