Barrel House Z Coming to Bedford

First Phase: a Biergarten (Beer Garden)

Barrel House Z  Brew House is coming to Bedford! The Weymouth brewery and taproom had been planning to open up their second taproom on 54 Middlesex Turnpike this past April.  Like many things planned for April….things changed.   They were moving forward with a site when everything shut down. I talked with Dan O’Donnell, president and general manager of Barrel House Z, and he said, “We are still planning on coming to Bedford, we’re taking a more phased approach to the opening.  We will be starting by opening an outdoor Beer Garden, hopefully by the end of July.” The current plan is to have about 70 seats outside and with an option for beer-to-go sales as well. The plan will be to eventually open the taproom with a full menu, but the timing of that will depend on the state of the pandemic.

O’Donnell went on to say that working with the town has been great.  “The Business Development team, the Selectmen, and the landlord have all been great.”

Barrel House Z opened their Weymouth location in June of 2016.   They’re starting their fifth year and look forward to a bright future in Bedford.

For some, Barrel House Z may seem familiar. Last December, during the Winter Walkabout, Suz & Co had them here for the Beer Garden at her office on The Great Road.
