Simoneau Recognized for Music Skills

Julia Simoneau is Sacred Heart University’s 2020 Trumpet section leader.

Julia is a sophomore from Bedford, Massachusetts majoring in Math on a 4+1 Secondary Education track. Her favorite part about the SHU Band Program is “how the SHU band feels like a family. We all love music, and if any of us are having a bad day, we can look forward to seeing each other and play fun music together. I honestly believe if I hadn’t joined SHU band, I wouldn’t have found as great friends as I’ve found in the band program!!”

This year, Julia is excited to be back at SHU and to welcome all the freshmen into our band family.

Bedford Students Shine at UConn

During the University of Connecticut commencement activities this May, two Bedford students were honored for their accomplishments.

Alexis Dinkel graduated Cum Laude, having completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences.

Noah Asher Dines was recognized for completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in August of 2019.

In addition to the graduates, Bedford students Jacqueline Helms and Ben Sackett both made the University’s Dean’s List.
